Danny Kinda’s Crossroads Blog #1

Last night I gave a talk to a bunch of hundreds of girls and parents at the Colorado Convention Center. It was good. Just kidding. It was great. Without giving too much away (I’m giving another talk next week on the same topic: Life) I’ll say that I showed the crowd a thing or two about how to take it to SpikeTown!

Today at the Crossroads tournament there were approximately a million kids. That’s an exaggeration (it was a million kids + parents) but you get my point. A million people there all to watch my videos and learn the secret of The Gator defensive technique. This one time, when my mustache and I were hanging out at our t-shirt booth, some crazy 14-year-olds kept peeking over at me and giggling. I mean, just come on over already and yell “NECTAR!”. If that’s what you wanna do then just go ahead and do it. And bring your camera. You’re gonna regret meeting me and not getting your picture taken with me. So GET YOUR PICTURE TAKEN WITH ME. Got it????

The Bump Record: Now, let’s get this straight. I own the official bump record. Didn’t you see my video with the USYVL? It’s awesome and towards the end I break the bump record for consecutive bumps in a row (1,146 was the old record). So at the Opening Ceremonies I attempted and CRUSHED the Colorado Crossroads Bump Record (old record=0). I got 28. So today I opened the floor up (just outside our booth where we sell t-shirts and show my videos) and allowed these million silly kids to try and break my bump record. Well, bad news: Some girl broke the record. ARGH. It was awful. She must’ve seen the USYVL video because she was unstoppable. I thought 28 bumps in a row was good in that crazy-lighted convention center. Well, maybe she had on sunglass-contacts because she got 212! NO WAY! YES WAY! I’m still not convinced she didn’t cheat. She must’ve cheated. Whatever. I have the REAL bump record.

At 7PM I provided the color commentary for an exhibition match between Boise State Broncos and Johnson & Wales Wildcats. I was great. One guy on the court was most likely Harry Potter, or at least the kid who plays Harry Potter in the movie. The craziest thing about the match was that some guy dug the ball off his patella (kneecap). I HAD to yell at him. I mean, how cool would it have been if he had been WEARING those awesome kneebraces by Patella Digs???? Answer: SO cool. Boise State had Patrick Nihipali, brother of former UCLA stud Paul NIhipali. Did I mention that Paul directed the upcoming beach volleyball movie, Green Flash? We’ll see how that goes…

Anyway, I’ll be around the convention center tomorrow (Sunday) and all day Monday. Come say hi to me and the Kinda Good Crew, watch some videos, sign up for our newsletter, and take a t-shirt with you on your way home!
