AJ was raised in Belmar, New Jersey. He began playing volleyball in high school and even built a sand court in his backyard. That is why his calves are huge.

He played 4 years at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and was a DIII All-American in 1998. He lived in Hermosa Beach for several years, but at the end of 2009, he went back to NJ.

AJ is our leader guy. He doesn’t really have a title because he does everything. He keeps the books, built/maintains the website, and advises on all aspects of Kinda Good. He makes the phone calls that nobody wants to make.
